When you’ve lived as long in the searing spotlight of Hollywood as Demi Moore has, you’re likely used to people picking apart every outfit you step out of the door in.
Call it an immutable byproduct of fame at the highest echelon, though I’m sure it would be nice for A-listers not to have to carefully consider every single wardrobe choice they ever make.
Nonetheless, there are times where they certainly embrace the flashing cameras and myriad articles that come with a bold fashion choice. All PR is good PR, after all, and celebrities are often forced to accept that whenever they don something that’s slightly out of the ordinary, it’s going to be discussed and dissected in the following days.
As I said, an iconic figure like Demi Moore will be more than comfortable with that notion by now, which is why it can be assumed that she knew exactly what she was doing when she stepped at Dolce and Gabbana’s 40th anniversary party recently and turned a lot of heads in the process.
The 61-year-old actress wore a see-through black dress for the occasion, with basic black undergarments beneath and a pair of simple black heels.
Letting her dress steal the attention, Moore kept her makeup light, with a soft-pink lipstick and bold mascara. She didn’t don any jewelry for the event, while her luscious dark locks tumbled down to her waist.
Needless to say, the Indecent Proposal star’s look garnered plenty of attention online, with fans flocking to heap praise on the actress.
“She looks unreal for her age. BRAVO,” one person wrote on Instagram.
Another opined: “Her and Cher I swear are vampires and the most beautiful women in Hollywood. As a nurse I can unfortunately tell their age by the way the walk, as well with Madonna. Our gate and bones is something we can’t have plastic surgeons fix. Kuddos to all of them for aging beautifully and I hope to be like them one day.“
“Well shit. We can all go home now,” said a third.
“Where is she 60, like where?” added a fourth.
As is so often the case, others were less complimentary of Moore’s look.
“Hate the outfit, tacky,” wrote on person.
“Great job at plastic surgery,” said another.
“Quenn of beautiful plastic surgery,” quipped a third.
Moore made headlines last year for her support of ex-husband Bruce Willis in light of his fronto-temporal dementia diagnosis.
Rumors insisted that the star had even moved in with Willis’s family to better help her former husband in his desperate hour of need, though Bruce’s wife, Emma Heming Willis, later refuted those claims.
