They Laughed At The Woman When She Brought Home This Trash: But Everyone Admired What She Turned This Old Suitcase Into!

One day, while walking with my children, we stumbled upon a rather unattractive plywood box outside the local House of Culture.

My kids initially dismissed it as mere rubbish, but I immediately recognized its potential. After a few days of dedicated work, I am thrilled to unveil the result of my transformation! Curious about the process?

  1. Dismantling and Cleaning:Removed old sod.
    Patched up peeling plywood.

    Repaired damaged plywood layers.

Filled chips and irregularities with a mixture of PVA glue and sawdust.

  2. Preparation for Painting:Sanded all surfaces.Filled small chips and defects with wood putty.

    Primed the surface.

  3. Painting:Applied two coats of paint using a brush and roller.
  4. Decorating:Created a relief ornament using a stencil.Embellished the walls of the suitcase with stencil patterns.
  5. Making a Handle:Utilized a strap from an old bag.
Glued and stitched a new handle for durability.
  6. Finishing the Inside:Covered the interior surfaces with fabric using PVA glue.Decorated the corners with braid using hot glue.
  7. Restoration of Fittings:Patinated the fittings with bronze.
  8. Finishing Touches:Coated all surfaces with acrylic lacquer.Installed the locks.

And there you have it – my revamped suitcase! Not only is it now visually appealing, but also highly functional. I can use it to store needlework, cosmetics, or any other essentials. Above all, it serves as a testament to the notion that even the most unattractive items can be transformed into something beautiful. Embrace your creativity and let your imagination soar!
