P2. What a tragedy! It’s about American Pickers star Danielle Colby

HT1. What a tragedy! It’s about American Pickers star Danielle Colby. -

Danielle Colby, star of American Pickers, has lost someone very close to her just days after her dream wedding to Jeremy Scheuch.

Last weekend, the History Channel star got married in Puerto Rico in a ceremony straight out of a fairy tale.

Danielle, 48, wrote an emotional post on social media Tuesday to say that her father-in-law had died.

The reality star shared a picture of herself with “Papa John,” her new husband Jeremy’s father.

The picture shows the  TV star sitting next to her partner on the front porch while he holds their little dog.

His mother and Papa John were sitting next to Danielle and her husband. They died suddenly after the wedding.

She wrote a long letter to Jeremy’s dad that said, “Papa John…you spent your life fighting for and making miracles happen for the most vulnerable kids in your community.”

“When I met you for the first time, you and your elves had turned an airplane hangar into the North Pole to make a little girl with cancer’s dream come true. You gave her happiness, hope, and peace. Like the one you gave us.”

“You’ve always been there for me and believed in me even when I didn’t.” I believe in myself too. Maybe some people around you didn’t believe that I was good, but you did. I felt safe in your arms, and you let me open up to you,” she gushed.

“Everyone knows that takes a while.” You came all the way from thousands of miles away many times to be with us, and you opened your doors when we needed your magic to help us get through hard times,” Danielle said.

“You loved and cared so much all the time. As someone who didn’t grow up with holidays, especially Christmas, you helped me understand them in a new way. You never saw these events as chances for yourself to gain something. Instead, you saw them as chances for other people to gain from your love, acceptance, and kindness.

For years, it was hard for me to fully open up to you. Some of my favorite memories are with you, your family, and your son Jeremy, who is so much like you in so many ways.

“Thank you so much for that. Without you there, it was hard to move forward with the wedding. We cried a lot because little things would make us think of you.

“Little magical moments that we had never experienced before, but suddenly the entire week of our wedding was filled with the most unexplainable magic in our surroundings, and the people who came to be with us, and the love we have for each other.”

“You were with us every moment, every sunrise and sunset, even though you were very far away trying to get better.” With every hug and party. Even though you’re not here with me anymore, I feel you everywhere. All over the place. “Now rest,” she said.

WHAT JEREMY SAID

Jeremy, Danielle’s husband, also shared a post with a picture of himself as a child meant for a family member who had died.

The husband of the American Pickers star was only a child in the old picture, which was taken in the front yard with a much younger Papa John.

In the picture, the retired artist looked like a tiny child, dressed in a small red jacket.

“My dad. John Scheuch. From June 28, 1953, to February 19, 2024. Rest in peace, dad. You were the best dad I could have asked for. “I am heartbroken,” Jeremy wrote under his picture.

He wrote more in the comments, “I don’t even know what to say right now.” I’m glad I have the best wife by my side through it all, though.”

Danielle wrote her husband a message of support below the post: “My heart hurts so much for you and your family right now.” People who were weakest in spirit had their dreams come true because of him.

“I learned a lot from him about how to help others and make room for them.” I feel him everywhere, but most of all when I’m with you.

“Thank you for bringing Papa John into my life and the lives of my kids,” she said.

Danielle and Jeremy got married over the weekend in a beautiful ceremony in Puerto Rico. They had been together for six years and were engaged for almost four years.
